So you wanna trade Forex? - tips and tricks inside

Let me just sum some stuff up for you newbies out there. Ive been trading for years, last couple of years more seriously and i turned my strategies into algorithms and i am currently up to 18 algorithms thats trading for me 24/7. Ive learned alot, listened to hundreds of podcasts and read tons of books + research papers and heres some tips and tricks for any newbie out there.

  1. Strategy - How to... When people say "you need a trading strategy!!" Its because trading is very hard and emotional. You need to stick to your rules at all times. Dont panic and move your stop loss or target unless your rules tell you to. Now how do you make these rules? Well this is the part that takes alot of time. If your rules are very simple (for example: "Buy if Last candles low was the lowest low of the past 10 candles." Lets make this a rule. You can backtest it manually by looking at a chart and going back in time and check every candle. or you can code it using super simple software like prorealtime, MT4 ++ Alot of software is basicly "click and drag" and press a button and it gives you backtest from 10-20-30 years ago in 5 seconds. This is the absolute easiest way to backtest rules and systems. If your trading "pure price action" with your drawn lines and shit, the only way to truly backtest that kind of trading is going in a random forex pair to a random point in time, could be 1 year ago, 1 month ago, 5 years ago.. and then you just trade! Move chart 1 candle at a time, draw your lines and do some "actual trading" and look at your results after moving forward in the chart. If you do not test your strategy your just going in blind, which could be disaster.. Maybe someone told u "this is the correct way to trade" or "this strategy is 90% sure to win every trade!!!" If you think you can do trading without a strategy, then your most likely going to look back at an empty account and wonder why you moved that stop loss or why you didnt take profit etc.. and then your gonna give up. People on youtube, forums, interwebz are not going to give you/sell you a working strategy thats gonna make you rich. If they had a working strategy, they would not give it away/sell it to you.
  2. Money management - How to.... Gonna keep this one short. Risk a small % of your capital on each trade. Dont risk 10%, dont risk 20%. You are going to see loosing trades, your probably gonna see 5-10 loss in a row!! If your trading a 1000$ account and your risking 100$ on each trade (10%) and you loose 5 in a row, your down -50% and probably you cant even trade cus of margin req. Game over.. Now how does one get super rich, super fast, from risking 1-3% of your account on each trade?? Well heres the shocking message: YOU CANT GET RICH FAST FROM TRADING UNLESS YOUR WILLING TO GO ALL IN! You can of course go all in on each trade and if you get em all right, you might get 1000%, then you go all in 1 more time and loose it all... The whole point of trading is NOT going bust. Not loosing everything, cus if you loose it all its game over and no more trading for you.
  3. Find your own trading style.... Everyone is different. You can have an average holding period of 1 month or you could be looking at a 1 min chart and average holding time = 10 minutes. For some, less volatility helps them sleep at night. For others, more volatility gives them a rush and some people crave this. There is no "correct" timeframes, or holding periods, or how much to profit or how much to loose. We are all individuals with different taste in risk. Some dont like risk, others wanna go all in to get rich over night. The smart approach is somewhere in the middle. If you dont risk anything, your not gonna get anything. If you risk everything, your most likely going to loose everything. When people are talking about trading style, this is kinda what that means.
  4. There are mainly 2 ways to trade: Divergence and Convergence. Or in other words: Mean reversion or trend following. Lets talk about them both: Trend following is trying to find a trend and stay with the trend until its over. Mean reversion is the belief that price is too far away from the average XX of price, and sooner or later, price will have to return to its average/mean (hence the name: MEAN reversion). Trend following systems usually see a lower winrate (30-40% winrate with no money management is not uncommon to see when backtesting trend following systems.. You can add good money management to get the winrate % higher. Why is the % winrate so low? Well a market, whatever that market is, tend to get real choppy and nasty right after a huge trend. So your gonna see alot of choppy fake signals that might kill 5-6 trades in a row, until the next huge trend starts which is going to cover all the losses from the small losses before the trend took off. Then you gotta hold that trade until trade is done. How do you define "when trend starts and stops"? Well thats back to point 1, find a strategy. Try defining rules for an entry and exit and see how it goes when you backtest it. For mean reversion the win % is usually high, like 70-90% winrate, but the average winning trade is alot smaller than the average loosing trade. this happens because you are basicly trying to catch a falling knife, or catch a booming rocket. Usually when trading mean reversion, waiting for price to actually reverse can very often leave you with being "too late", so you kinda have to find "the bottom" or "the top" before it actually has bottomed/ topped out and reversed. How can you do this you ask? Well your never going to hit every top or every bottom, but you can find ways to find "the bottom-ish" or "the top-ish", thens ell as soon as price reverts back to the mean. Sometimes your gonna wish you held on to the trade for longer, but again, back to point 1: Backtest your rules and figure that shit out.

Read these 4 points and try to follow them and you are at least 4 steps closer to being a profitable trader. Some might disagree with me on some points but i think for the majority, people are going to agree that these 4 points are pretty much universal. Most traders have done or are doing these things every day, in every trade.
Here is some GREAT material to read: Kevin Davey has won trading championship multiple times and he has written multiple great books, from beginner to advanced level. Recommend these books 100%, for example: Building winning algorithmic trading systems" will give you alot to work with when it comes to all 4 of the above points. Market wizards, Reminiscences of a stock operator are 2 books that are a great read but wont give you much "trading knowledge" that you can directly use for your trading. Books on "The turtles" are great reading. Then you have podcasts and youtube. I would stay away from youtube as much as possible when it comes to "Heres how to use the rsi!!!" or "this strategy will make you rich!!". Most youtube videoes are made by people who wanna sell you a course or a book. Most of this is just pure bullshit. Youtube can very harmfull and i would honestly advice about going there for "strategy adivce" and such. Podcasts tho are amazing, i highly recommend: Better systems trader, Chat with traders, Top traders unplugged, We study billionairs, to name a few :)
Also, on a less funny note.. Please realize that you are, and i am, real fucking stupid and lazy compared to the actual pro's out there. This is why you should not go "all in" on some blind stupid strategy youve heard about. This is why this is indeed VERY FUCKING HARD and most, if not everyone has busted an account or two before realizing just this. Your dumb.. your not going to be super rich within 1 year.. You can not start with 500$ account and make millions! (some might have been able to do this, but know that for every winner, theres 999 loosers behind him that failed... Might work fine first 5 trades, then 1 fuckup tho and ur gone..
And lastly: Try using a backtesting software. Its often FREE!!! (on a demo account) and often so simple a baby could use it. If your trading lines and such there exists web broweser "games" and softwares that lets you go "1 and 1 candle ahead" in random forex pairs and that lets you trade as if its "real" as it goes.
A big backtesting trap however is backtesting "losely" by just drawing lines and looking at chart going "oh i would have taken this trade FOR SURE!! I would have made so much money!!" however this is not actually backtesting, its cherry picking and its biased beyond the grave, and its going to hurt you. Try going 1 candle at a time doing "real and live" trades and see how it goes.

Bonus point!!
many people misunderstands what indicators like the RSI is telling you. Indeed something is "overbought" or "oversold" but only compared to the last average of xx amounts of bars/candles.
It doesn't tell you that RIGHT NOW is a great time to sell or buy. It only tells you that the math formula that is RSI, gives you a number between 1-100, and when its above 70 its telling you that momentum is up compared to the last average 14 candles. This is not a complete buy/sell signal. Its more like a filter if anything. This is true for MOST indicators. They INDICATE stuff. Dont use them as pure buy/sell signals.. At least backtest that shit first! Your probably gonna be shocked at the shitty results if you "buy wehn rsi is undeer 30 and sell when RSI is above 70".

Editedit: Huge post already, why not copy paste my comment with an example showing the difference in trend following vs mean reversion:
The thing about trend following is that we never know when a trade starts and when it ends. So what often happens is that you have to buy every breakout going up, but not every breakout is a new trend. Lets do an example. Check out the photo i included here: https://imageshost.eu/image/image.RcC

THE PHOTO IS JUST AN EXAMPLE THAT SHOWS WHY A TYPICAL TREND FOLLOWING STRATEGY HAVE A "LOW" WINRATE.
THE PHOTO IS NOT SHOWING AN EXAMPLE OF MY STRATEGIES OR TRADING.

  1. We identify the big orange trend up.
  2. We see the big break down (marked with the vertical red line) this is telling us we are not going higher just yet. Our upwards trend is broken. However we might continue going up in a new trend, but when will that trend come?
  3. We can draw the blue trend very earyly using highs and lows, lines up and down. Then we begin to look for breakouts of the upper blue line. So every time price breaks upper blue line we have to buy (cus how else are we going to "catch the next trend going up?)
As you can see we get 5 false breakouts before the real breakout happens!
Now if you could tell fake breakouts from real breakouts, your gonna be rich hehe. For everyone else: Take every signal you can get, put a "tight" stop loss so in case its a fake signal you only loose a little bit. Then when breakout happens as you can clearly see in chart, your going to make back all the small losses.
So in this example we fail 5 times, but get 1 HUGE new trend going further up. This 1 huge trade, unless we fuck it up and take profits too early or shit like that, is going to win back all those small losses + more.
This is why trend following has a low winrate. You get 5 small loss and 1 big win.

Now lets flip this! Imagine if your trading Mean reversion on all the same red arrows! So every time price hits the blue line, we go short back to the bottom (or middle) again! You would have won 5 trades with small profits, but on that last one you would get stopped out so hard. Meaning 5 small wins, 1 big loss (as some have pointed out in comments, if you where trading mean reverting you would wanna buy the lows as well as short the tops - photo was suppose to show why trend following strategies have a lower % winrate.)

Final edit: sorry this looks like a wall of text on ur phones.

Surge of New Forex Traders? Read this!

I've noticed that about 2,000 people have joined the Forex community in the recent weeks. Has anyone else noticed this? I suspect this is because of the lay offs due to the corona virus, and people are frantically looking for ways to supplement their incomes. While I'm glad that people are trying to better themselves and take control of their financial situations, I have to admit that the daily "newbie" questions are getting quite annoying. And it's not because there are new, inexperienced traders asking for help, but it's because the questions are more-less the same questions. I know there is a pinned "New Traders" section at the top of the thread, but it seems it isn't catching much traction.
But first, to the new traders I'd first like to say:

Welcome! This will be a tough journey, but it will pay in dividends (not literally).
A couple tips before we start:
FIRST, see the pinned New Traders section of Forex
SECOND, go to babypips and take their FREE courses where you will learn the basics. I never did because I'm an idiot, and it took me many years of trial and error to succeed in this game. Don't be a lemon like me, go to babypips.
Now my basics;
Always have at least a 1:2 Risk:Reward. Simply put, risk at least $1 for $2.
Always set a stop loss and take profit.
In the beginning, I find it best to give new traders a black or white, go-or-no-go trading strategy. Trade mechanically. While discretionary trading is profitable, you need years of experience and time in the charts to be good at it. It could be something like, "I only trade low volatility break outs on the 4hr. Any candle below x ATR and I will enter via stop order at the high/low of that candle. My sl will be at the high/low of the entry candle, and I will look to make at least 2 reward on that trade. I will risk 1% per trade, even on demo, and I will trade in the direction of a 10 period moving average" This is a VERY crude strategy, one I just pulled out of my ass, so don't go using it and blowing your accounts!
I recommend starting with 1 pair in the beginning, at MOST 3. And I recommend not swapping into different pairs. Keep those 1-3 pairs.
Once babypips is completed, demo trade. Put time in the charts and develop a strategy (mechanically, preferably). Your strategy could be as complex or as simple as you like. Simplicity is genius in my opinion, but you do you. I'm not trying to sound like an ass, but everything you really needed to learn you learned from babypips.
With that said, DO NOT pay for courses from ANYONE. They will often know the same as you, if not less. In my opinion to be really great in this game you don't need a lot of information., and capitalize on every opportunity. You just need to be really good at one style and max that the hell out. For instance, being really good at low volatility breakouts, and having a system based off that. No amount of schooling (high school, college, or courses via Forex gurus) will make you successful. It's one thing to know a strategy, but to implement it in real time with real consequences is daunting. The only way to conquer this is to simply do it. Trade.
Trade with an amount of money you can emotionally and financially afford to lose! I would even recommend starting a live account with $50 and only trading micro lots (0.01) until you become comfortable and your strategy proves successful. This is AFTER demo trading your strategy.
Master yourself before you master the markets. Work out. Feed your brain. Get enough sleep. The money you make or lose isn't worth your health.
Psychology. In my opinion the best psychology you can have while trading is a form of stoicism. You've placed your trade based off your strategy, you managed your trade based off your strategy, and you risked an amount you've told yourself you were comfortable losing with an account you told yourself you were comfortable blowing, so what's the worry? Why the second guessing? Everyone's heard that story, right? Where a man goes to a successful "guru" and says he wants to be successful. The guru says, "Ok. Show up at the beach this time tomorrow." The man shows up at the beach in a suit and tie, ready for success! The guru tells him to get in the water. Once in, the guru holds the mans head under the water, drowning him. At the last second the guru lets him up and says, "once you want success as much you wanted to breathe, you'll be successful. That's what you need to be like. You need to be willing to do what is necessary and put in the work. It's not easy. You're going to lose money, maybe even blow accounts. You may struggle for years without a return, or even lose money over that time. How bad do you want it success, though? And are you willing to drown to attain it?
Best of luck new traders!
Experienced traders, please feel free to add things or tell me I'm a goof in the comments.

Your experience of starting with real money

Hi, I'm a newbie and I'm still learning. I just wanted to ask how you guys started off with real money. After how much time and experience? Did you start with real money after weeks, months or years of trading demo? Also, how much money did you start off with? Did you guys lose money or consistently made more profits than losses? Sorry for so many questions, I am just curious about how other people started their forex journey. Any tips will also help me a lot. Cheers!

Strategy - Why you should backtest your systems

Hello world. Long time lurker here. Wanna give a huge tip to all newbies out there thats thinking about strategies. (like "Buy when price crosses above moving average 10" or whatever)

If you think you have a strategy (a set of rules) then theres no excuse not to backtest the rules!
Lets say you wanna "Buy when moving average[10] crosses over moving average[20]" or whatever numbers or indicators or rules youre thinking about.
All you gotta do is sign up with a broker (demo account!! free) that provides you with a software that allows you to backtest! The coding is 9/10 times super duper easy to learn and use. Just google for it and you should find multiple brokers that can provide different types of software to run backtests.

"Cant you just backtest manually looking at chart?" - Well, you can! But this takes a long long time and you will not see exact results. Using a software you can test your strategy on all the different timeframes, multiple years back in time, on all the currency pairs you want to test it on.
Heres an example, its my own algorithm (algorithm just means "set of rules") that i have created for USD/JPY, backtested from 2004 -> 2019 thats 15 years of backtesting! My system seemed profitable and robust so i decided to run this system live and its actually in a trade right now. So far its been profitable and good to me.

For all you traders that do not rely on fixed systems/set of rules: Backtesting is very hard because if you rely on your own drawings and support/resistance lines, then backtesting is biased before you even begin.. unless your testing in "real time" which of course is much more valid. Non the less you should just scroll "back in time" on chart and start "trading" with "paper money" and just move 1 and 1 candle forward until you either see that your system is working or not.

https://imgur.com/a/p8aVdIT

Edit: Guess i never answered "Why" you should backtest. I started out trading stocks, then i realized "patterns" was a thing in every chart on all timeframes and i started to look at forex cus markets are plentiful and open 24/5. After a few hit and missed and busted tiny accounts i realized i needed to test my theories and strategies. Thats when i discovered that coming up with a strategy that actually works, year after year on multiple pairs, is not only hard, its realy fucking hard! And thats also when i realized how flawed my "plans to get rich in trading" really was.. When your just charting and drawing lines and trading on them, you dont really have a plan, and without a firm strict plan (at least for me) the pitfalls are many, and devastating. So i started looking at how to actually make profitable strategies, reading books and listening to podcasts, and today im running multiple strategies in multiple markets on multiple timeframes. So far ive been profitable. definitly not gonna quit my dayjob tomorrow, just so thats clear.. trading is risky and having a dayjob and monthly income is definitly something im gonna continue with lol.

Forex Questions

Hello guys, I started taking introductory seminars about forex trading, I'm actually planning to do it after a few weeks of studying forex trading. However, I have questions that need to be answered first before I start trading. I hope you can guys can help me, thank you. Here are the questions:
  1. Given that forex is volatile, and a high risk, high reward market. How much do you think is the potential earning of a newbie trader who is still learning to trade with a capital of $1000?
  2. I'm planning to take in-depth online course about Forex trading. Would you recommend this course from Udemy?
  3. Do you have any more tips for a newbie trader who wants to be a forex trader?

Looking back 18 months.

I was going through old emails today and came across this one I sent out to family on January 4, 2018. It was a reflection on the 2017 crypto bull market and where I saw it heading, as well as some general advice on crypto, investment, and being safe about how you handle yourself in cryptoland.
I feel that we are on the cusp of a new bull market right now, so I thought that I would put this out for at least a few people to see *before* the next bull run, not after. While the details have changed, I don't see a thing in this email that I fundamentally wouldn't say again, although I'd also probably insist that people get a Yubikey and use that for all 2FA where it is supported.
Happy reading, and sorry for some of the formatting weirdness -- I cleaned it up pretty well from the original email formatting, but I love lists and indents and Reddit has limitations... :-/
Also, don't laught at my token picks from January 2018! It was a long time ago and (luckliy) I took my own advice about moving a bunch into USD shortly after I sent this. I didn't hit the top, and I came back in too early in the summer of 2018, but I got lucky in many respects.
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan-4, 2018
Hey all!
I woke up this morning to ETH at a solid $1000 and decided to put some thoughts together on what I think crypto has done and what I think it will do. *******, if you could share this to your kids I’d appreciate it -- I don’t have e-mail addresses, and it’s a bit unwieldy for FB Messenger… Hopefully they’ll at least find it thought-provoking. If not, they can use it as further evidence that I’m a nutjob. 😉
Some history before I head into the future.
I first mined some BTC in 2011 or 2012 (Can’t remember exactly, but it was around the Christmas holidays when I started because I had time off from work to get it set up and running.) I kept it up through the start of summer in 2012, but stopped because it made my PC run hot and as it was no longer winter, ********** didn’t appreciate the sound of the fans blowing that hot air into the room any more. I’ve always said that the first BTC I mined was at $1, but looking back at it now, that’s not true – It was around $2. Here’s a link to BTC price history.
In the summer of 2013 I got a new PC and moved my programs and files over before scrapping the old one. I hadn’t touched my BTC mining folder for a year then, and I didn’t even think about salvaging those wallet files. They are now gone forever, including the 9-10BTC that were in them. While I can intellectually justify the loss, it was sloppy and underlines a key thing about cryptocurrency that I believe will limit its widespread adoption by the general public until it is addressed and solved: In cryptoland, you are your own bank, and if you lose your password or account number, there is no person or organization that can help you reset it so that you can get access back. Your money is gone forever.
On April 12, 2014 I bought my first BTC through Coinbase. BTC had spiked to $1000 and been in the news, at least in Japan. This made me remember my old wallet and freak out for a couple of months trying to find it and reclaim the coins. I then FOMO’d (Fear Of Missing Out”) and bought $100 worth of BTC. I was actually very lucky in my timing and bought at around $430. Even so, except for a brief 50% swing up almost immediately afterwards that made me check prices 5 times a day, BTC fell below my purchase price by the end of September and I didn’t get back to even until the end of 2015.
In May 2015 I bought my first ETH at around $1. I sent some guy on bitcointalk ~$100 worth of BTC and he sent me 100 ETH – all on trust because the amounts were small and this was a small group of people. BTC was down in the $250 range at that point, so I had lost 30-40% of my initial investment. This was of the $100 invested, so not that much in real terms, but huge in percentages. It also meant that I had to buy another $100 of BTC on Coinbase to send to this guy. A few months after I purchased my ETH, BTC had doubled and ETH had gone down to $0.50, halving the value of my ETH holdings. I was even on the first BTC purchase finally, but was now down 50% on the ETH I had bought.
The good news was that this made me start to look at things more seriously. Where I had skimmed white papers and gotten a superficial understanding of the technology before FOMO’ing, I started to act as an investor, not a speculator. Let me define how I see those two different types of activity:
So what has been my experience as an investor? After sitting out the rest of 2015 because I needed to understand the market better, I bought into ETH quite heavily, with my initial big purchases being in March-April of 2016. Those purchases were in the $11-$14 range. ETH, of course, dropped immediately to under $10, then came back and bounced around my purchase range for a while until December of 2016, when I purchased a lot more at around $8.
I also purchased my first ICO in August of 2016, HEAT. I bought 25ETH worth. Those tokens are now worth about half of their ICO price, so about 12.5ETH or $12500 instead of the $25000 they would be worth if I had just kept ETH. There are some other things with HEAT that mean I’ve done quite a bit better than those numbers would suggest, but the fact is that the single best thing I could have done is to hold ETH and not spend the effort/time/cost of working with HEAT. That holds true for about every top-25 token on the market when compared to ETH. It certainly holds true for the many, many tokens I tried to trade in Q1-Q2 of 2017. In almost every single case I would have done better and slept better had I just held ETH instead of trying to be smarter than Mr. Market.
But, I made money on all of them except one because the crypto market went up more in USD terms than any individual coin went down in ETH or BTC terms. This underlines something that I read somewhere and that I take to heart: A rising market makes everyone seem like a genius. A monkey throwing darts at a list of the top 100 cryptocurrencies last year would have doubled his money. Here’s a chart from September that shows 2017 year-to-date returns for the top 10 cryptocurrencies, and all of them went up a *lot* more between then and December. A monkey throwing darts at this list there would have quintupled his money.
When evaluating performance, then, you have to beat the monkey, and preferably you should try to beat a Wall Street monkey. I couldn’t, so I stopped trying around July 2017. My benchmark was the BLX, a DAA (Digital Asset Array – think fund like a Fidelity fund) created by ICONOMI. I wasn’t even close to beating the BLX returns, so I did several things.
  1. I went from holding about 25 different tokens to holding 10 now. More on that in a bit.
  2. I used those funds to buy ETH and BLX. ETH has done crazy-good since then and BLX has beaten BTC handily, although it hasn’t done as well as ETH.
  3. I used some of those funds to set up an arbitrage operation.
The arbitrage operation is why I kept the 11 tokens that I have now. All but a couple are used in an ETH/token pair for arbitrage, and each one of them except for one special case is part of BLX. Why did I do that? I did that because ICONOMI did a better job of picking long-term holds than I did, and in arbitrage the only speculative thing you must do is pick the pairs to trade. My pairs are (No particular order):
I also hold PLU, PLBT, and ART. These two are multi-year holds for me. I have not purchased BTC once since my initial $200, except for a few cases where BTC was the only way to go to/from an altcoin that didn’t trade against ETH yet. Right now I hold about the same 0.3BTC that I held after my first $100 purchase, so I don’t really count it.
Looking forward to this year, I am positioning myself as follows:
Looking at my notes, I have two other things that I wanted to work into this email that I didn’t get to, so here they are:
  1. Just like with free apps and other software, if you are getting something of value and you didn’t pay anything for it, you need to ask why this is. With apps, the phrase is “If you didn’t pay for the product, you are the product”, and this works for things such as pump groups, tips, and even technical analysis. Here’s how I see it.
    1. People don’t give tips on stocks or crypto that they don’t already own that stock or token. Why would they, since if they convince anyone to buy it, the price only goes up as a result, making it more expensive for them to buy in? Sure, you will have friends and family that may do this, but people in a crypto club, your local cryptocurrency meetup, or online are generally not your friends. They are there to make money, and if they can get you to help them make money, they will do it. Pump groups are the worst of these, and no matter how enticing it may look, stay as far away as possible from these scams. I even go so far as to report them when I see them advertise on FB or Twitter, because they are violating the terms of use.
    2. Technical analysis (TA) is something that has been argued about for longer than I’ve been alive, but I think that it falls into the same boat. In short, TA argues that there are patterns in trading that can be read and acted upon to signal when one must buy or sell. It has been used forever in the stock and foreign exchange markets, and people use it in crypto as well. Let’s break down these assumptions a bit.
i. First, if crypto were like the stock or forex markets we’d all be happy with 5-7% gains per year rather than easily seeing that in a day. For TA to work the same way in crypto as it does in stocks and foreign exchange, the signals would have to be *much* stronger and faster-reacting than they work in the traditional market, but people use them in exactly the same way.
ii. Another area where crypto is very different than the stock and forex markets centers around market efficiency theory. This theory says that markets are efficient and that the price reflects all the available information at any given time. This is why gold in New York is similar in price to gold in London or Shanghai, and why arbitrage margins are easily <0.1% in those markets compared to cryptoland where I can easily get 10x that. Crypto simply has too much speculation and not enough professional traders in it yet to operate as an efficient market. That fundamentally changes the way that the market behaves and should make any TA patterns from traditional markets irrelevant in crypto.
iii. There are services, both free and paid that claim to put out signals based on TA for when one should buy and sell. If you think for even a second that they are not front-running (Placing orders ahead of yours to profit.) you and the other people using the service, you’re naïve.
iv. Likewise, if you don’t think that there are people that have but together computerized systems to get ahead of people doing manual TA, you’re naïve. The guys that I have programming my arbitrage bots have offered to build me a TA bot and set up a service to sell signals once our position is taken. I said no, but I am sure that they will do it themselves or sell that to someone else. Basically they look at TA as a tip machine where when a certain pattern is seen, people act on that “tip”. They use software to see that “tip” faster and take a position on it so that when slower participants come in they either have to sell lower or buy higher than the TA bot did. Remember, if you are getting a tip for free, you’re the product. In TA I see a system when people are all acting on free preset “tips” and getting played by the more sophisticated market participants. Again, you have to beat that Wall Street monkey.
  1. If you still don’t agree that TA is bogus, think about it this way: If TA was real, Wall Street would have figured it out decades ago and we would have TA funds that would be beating the market. We don’t.
  2. If you still don’t agree that TA is bogus and that its real and well, proven, then you must think that all smart traders use them. Now follow that logic forward and think about what would happen if every smart trader pushing big money followed TA. The signals would only last for a split second and would then be overwhelmed by people acting on them, making them impossible to leverage. This is essentially what the efficient market theory postulates for all information, including TA.
OK, the one last item. Read this weekly newsletter – You can sign up at the bottom. It is free, so they’re selling something, right? 😉 From what I can tell, though, Evan is a straight-up guy who posts links and almost zero editorial comments.
Happy 2018.

Here are two important realities to consider:

  1. Most newbies try and withstand Forex victimization no help or tools.
(Most newbies lose all of their money). currency exchange rates
  1. Most productive traders use a Forex commercialism system to assist them (Successful traders create excellentcash in Forex). free forex signals
But even with these realities unremarkably noted, newbies still try and attack Forex blind, basing their buying and selling decisions on limited knowledge and experience.
It is not till they need lost all of their commercialism funds that they contemplate that it in all probability would aresmarter to speculate in an exceedingly Forex commercialism system
and software from the beginning. Don't make the same mistake.
If you wish to achieve success with currency commercialism (ie.
making consistent profitable trades) then it's extremely suggested that you simply investigate the various Forex commercialism systems and software system on the market.
Let Pine Tree State illustrate any with a story of regarding 2 Forex traders:
Tom and Jim are reading regarding Forex heaps recently.
Both are defrayal hours on-line making an attempt to know what currency commercialism is and the way (and if) they will create some fast profits.
All of the selling ads that they scan say that you simply will increase your cash terribly, terribly quickly.
Sure, there is some risk concerned, however the potential rewards area unit simply too sensible to pass up.
So they each plan to undertake Forex and see if they will create a go of it.
Both guys area unit extremely driven and need to relinquish Forex their best probability.
So each of them is going to invest $1000 of their savings into currency trading. If they lose the $1000, then they will quit Forex and re-evaluate whether or not to try again in the future.
By finance k greenbacks, both have shown that they are fully committed to making Forex work for them.
Starting Out: Tom takes his entire $1000 and transfers it into a retail online Forex broker.
Tom are going to be creating all of his commercialism selections on his own.
He are going to be doing his own analysis {and will|and will} lurking on Forex forums and blogs to ascertain if he can get some abundant required tips.
Jim goes a different route. Although he is just as motivated as Tom, he is also aware of the complexity of the Forex market and realizes that he just doesn't have much experience at this point. So he takes $900 and transfers it to the same retail Forex broker as Tom. He saves the remaining $100 in order to get access to tools and resources (ie.
Forex commercialism systems and software) to assist him create higher trades.
He wont to day trade stocks and is aware of 1st hand the sting that these tools and resources will have (especially if you're simply learning the ropes).
Month 1: Tom jumped right into currency trading.
His 1st trade started off within the positive, but quickly went south.
Before he might post his sell request, he had lost $100.
Although he did have some minor profitable trades, overall his commercialism history was terribly like his 1sttrade.
Many trades started off sensible, but for some reason (that he just didn't have the experience or knowledge to understand), then would eventually trend down.
At the top of his 1st month commercialism currencies, Tom's trading account was down to $400.
Jim, did a bit little bit of analysis and located Forex Ambush.
This was a membership web site that provided its members winning signals.
What extremely caught his eye was that they with boldness declared that their commercialism signals were ninety nine.9% correct.
How could they make such a bold statement?
Jim did some additional excavation and located a lot of regeneration from current members.
And there was a new issue that finally swayed Jim into giving Forex Ambush a try: they offered a seven day trial at a fraction of their traditional worth.
For less than twenty greenbacks, Jim had seven days to try out Forex Ambush and their 99.9% accurate trading signals.
He was really excited. He had $900 in his Forex trading account and still had $80+ to use in case Forex Ambush didn't help.
The next day Jim received associate email with a commercialism signal from Forex Ambush.
He was still terribly unaccustomed Forex, however with the daring accuracy statement still in his mind, Jim put in his order just as the trading signal specified.
When his transaction closed later that day, Jim had made a $145 profit. He was very excited!
After his seven day trial terminated, Jim went ahead and signed up to be a permanent member of Forex Ambush.
Although not each commercialism signal resulted in profits, the majority of them did.
And the losses that he did have were terribly tiny.
After a month, Jim had $1750 in his Forex trading account. Month 2: Tom was feeling deflated. Within a month, he had gone from $1000 to $400.
In order to do to create back his cash, he did higher valued trades that were much more risky.
The end result: he was down to $0 before the month had even ended. Tom was angry and frustrated.
He swore off ever doing Forex once more, telling anyone that would listen that it was a scam and that they should save their money.
Jim, on the opposite hand, was on cloud nine.
He had turned his initial $900 and turned it into $1750.
He was still obtaining the daily email from Forex Ambush with the commercialism signals, but he was also testing out a few other Forex trading systems.
After a month of profitable trades, he had a much better understand on the Forex market and was full of confidence.
By the top of month two, Jim's commercialism account was currently at $2355.

Dragonchain DRGN investor and advocate - Funding Gym - Building startup capital for individuals / Business Credit for Airbnb or real estate. Need Karma

If you pay attention to the telegram channels for DRGN or Dragonchain, you probably have seen me.

If you check out my youtube channel, you'll see interviews I did of much of the leadership during Seattle Blockcon.

I am posting here as a newbie though. Reddit was not my thing but I want to be more active in it. To do so, I need post and comment Karma so am working to build it.

I have lived in Silicon Valley for 10 years. The startup scene here is wild. The number one reason startups fail is because they have too much capital (causes sloth and misspending), or too little (not enough to grow the company).
I am also an Act 20 and 22 holder that lives a majority of the time in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A lot of people don't understand what that means when it comes to cryptocurrency or e-commerce business investing. Essentially, if you look at your state and income taxes last year that you paid, the process reduces that number by about 85%. If you had capital gains on short or long term trades on crypto, stocks, bonds, commodities, Forex, etc... then the savings is 15-40% of that tax.
I know you have heard about needing to live on the island, but there are various programs and ways to work around it. It's case by case so reach out if you are serious. Just don't waste your time or mine and be specific about your question please.

I managed to get $1,000,000 in business credit for 7 of my friends. They had good personal scores so I was able to do it within 90 days. I am not an expert in helping people fix problems they made for themselves. Please don't ask me about repairs other than a few tips. It isn't what I enjoy doing. I do help friends and will point you in the right direction. My main interest is to throw fuel on a good fire though with capital.
I started a Youtube channel to start teaching these tricks and shortcuts. Give it a look. The info is free. I only charge if I have to do the work for you. When I do the work, I have staff do a ton of hours in negotiations directly with banks (Chase, Bank of America, US Bank, Discover, Wells Fargo, etc) on your behalf. We first set up your business entity properly and can get it funded up to $250K. Some people use that for real estate down payments, or remodeling part of their home into Airbnb business, or to buy a car for Uber, or a hundred other startup business funding projects.
I also can save serious content creators (instagram, Youtube, Twitch streamers) and Drop-shippers or print on demand business owners about 75% of the State and Federal income taxes they currently pay per year. I am based in Puerto Rico and Silicon Valley. I can teach how to do it or I can do it for you.
I am also connected to many of the Silicon Valley Startup and Accelerator programs. Reach out for more info or networking.

Here is my video link. Please subscribe as it helps ranking. Also, please watch at normal speed if at all possible. This helps with the number of watch minutes in the algorithm youtube uses. One of the hard things about Dragonchain is the amount of social media proof available. I have 7 interviews and I want to make them more public to the world. Your watching these videos helps with that algorithm.
If you haven't already, don't forget the upvote karma. I am working to be more of an advocate for crypto and blockchain projects.

Thanks!

Forex Day Trading Strategies for 2017

Forex Day Trading Strategies for 2017
Forex day trading is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways for the average person to make money. In Forex, day trading refers to entering and exiting a trade within the same trading day. Sometimes this can last a few seconds, and sometimes it can last a few hours. You do not need to be a financial whiz in order to become a Forex trader. You simply need to master some trading techniques involved in the business in order to become profitable.
How do you know what Forex day trading strategy to follow? What is the best day trading strategy? There are many out there and everyone has their own ideas about how to trade. However, as a beginner, you should start 2017 with the following FX day trading strategies and tips, and then build from there.
Follow the Daily Trading Trend
This is one of the simplest and most effective beginner Forex day trading strategies. Carefully look at the charts and the trading market each day in order to see where the daily trend is moving on the four-hour trading chart. If you need to, watch some live trades as well to get a feel for what is happening. Once you think you know where the trends are headed, begin your trading in the same direction. The four-hour trading chart allows you to trade without being in front of your computer all day and you can earn more money through less work. Use a demo account to practice on.
Start Trading Small
You do not have to trade large amounts of money at first, especially if you decide to try trading with the trend. Always start off small to see how the day is going to move and whether or not the trend is going to be profitable. If the four-hour trading chart is profitable you can add to each trade when the time is right.
Trade with a Stop Loss Order in Place
All Forex orders — especially stop-loss orders — are an important beginner Forex day trading strategy. A stop-loss order will help you keep from losing all of the money you make on a trade. It is a form of money management. When you have a stop-loss in place you will automatically stop trading on a lot when the first – and smallest – loss is registered. This helps you manage the gains and losses you make when Forex trading and it is an important part of the trade. You should never trade without the stop loss order.
Use Market Indicators and Trust Them as You Trade
Every trader has a set of indicators they use when Forex day trading. Once you learn which ones benefit you in your trading, use them and trust them. Each indicator has signals that will guide you in determining where to set your stop loss and where to make trades. Pay attention to what your indicators are telling you and you will see that trading with your indicators in place will be extremely profitable.
Have Realistic Expectations as a Beginner
We realize that not everyone reading this is a complete beginner. Some of you might even be profitable traders looking to expand your range of strategies. Unfortunately, the vast majority of traders looking for new information are system hoppers with very little experience and knowledge. And for this reason, this advice is almost entirely aimed at struggling beginners.
Don’t expect to be able to instinctively predict market movements with little to no understanding of markets and price action. You might get lucky on a demo account but it won’t be the same experience when you trade with real money, especially when it comes to day trading – the most psychologically tolling trading method for newbies.
Different Strategies For Different Types of Trades
The majority of beginners and less-experienced traders (not yet consistently profitable on the monthly or quarterly basis) are far better suited for longer term trading strategies. Among other things, longer-term strategies allow a trader far more free time and require less screen time.
Day trading is a specialized occupation that takes years of work and experience to master. If it’s the road you choose, be prepared for the bumpy road ahead, but rest assured, it’s not impossible… and it’s not the only way to trade profitably either.
Thank You

1broker copy guide - avoiding extreme losses

First off, let me state that I am not even close to a professional when it comes to trading. I got in a few months ago for passive income from copying 3.14fx and have come a long way since then, quadrupling my initial investment and losing half of it. I've watched traders such as cfdtrader, Lumyo, Robot, and crypto_chris lose several hundred percent after a fail from opening multiple positions. I got into 1broker to make money without monitoring it, but instead I learned a lot about trading and risk management, even profiting off several of my own trades. It's a valuable experience in itself even if you're not profiting and I wouldn't give it up for anything. If these losses are enough to make you quit, so be it. Investing comes with risks that some people can't handle. It's not free money.
https://www.dailyfx.com/calendar is the economic calendar that I use while trading. High importance events can easily trigger a 80% loss or gain depending on the direction you choose. It's highly risky to trade when someone of great importance such as Draghi or Yellen are speaking.
Even if you follow a general MAX 5% rule, you will still lose up to 16% of your account if somebody opens 4 of the same positions and they stop at 80%. Making back money is also tougher than losing it, as once you lose 16% of your account, 5% of your account is a lot less than before. Therefore, you have less capital per trade.
Also, be careful when changing your copy amount. I often see copiers saying things like "Great work, I'm upping my copy amount" and "Increased copy amount from x to x". In my opinion, increasing a copy amount should only be done when your initial amount is already low. Losses on a higher copy amount may wipe out the gains on a smaller copy amount. (-50% loss with 0.1 btc = +100% gains with 0.05 btc) Always stick to a 5% max rule unless you're feeling risky.
Then, there comes the gambling/greed phase that many new copiers often do. (Guilty of this myself). After extreme success, a copier may feel the need to upgrade their copy reward to maximize profit. Or after extreme failure, a copier may feel they need to upgrade their copy reward to make up for losses. All of these are mistakes.
1broker is not filled with market professionals. Most of us here are either self taught or complete novices. Professionals would not be sharing their trades for about $70-80 for each trade (at best). They won't be asking for copiers on other traders' profiles. They won't be using a Pikachu as their profile picture. They won't be using a broker that isn't heavily regulated and insured. They would be using their own capital to make millions off of trades.
Remember, any newbie can easily accumulate winning trades by gambling with high leverage. As long as they have around $1300 as of now, they can easily create a profile that suggests that they are a professional, when in reality they are entering at random points and exiting when a position turns into profit, rather than using technical analysis and watching economic calendars.
And even the best of traders will have their ups and downs. I've stuck with 3.14FX even when he reached -100% this month because he's had a great history on this site. I feel that he can make the money that he loses back. And even though he has doubled up on a position yesterday (not sure why, probably was extremely confident), it was a success.
Can you really trust anyone? No way! Unlike regular trading, 1broker is more unregulated. Signing up requires no personal information so any user with malicious intent can build up a steady reputation and perform an exit scam (or have a massive failure) without any reparations. Robot has no link to any social media or anything in his profile. For all we know, he could own another account that has -100%, and he is depending on luck while opening multiple positions to accumulate followers. (I just used Robot as an example, my intent is not to accuse him of multiple accounts)
Then there are potential exit scams (from a trader, not 1broker itself) that will drain a decent portion of your account. There's a reason why you have a choice to choose how many trades maximum you can copy per day. This hasn't happened yet, but it will definitely happen in the foreseeable future. Somebody will set up an order for 50 shorts and 50 longs and set the take profit and stop loss the opposite of each other. Then after closing, they'll withdraw their bitcoin never to be heard of again.
When you put your trust in a trader, you should trust them to carefully monitor a trade. Unfortunately, there's currently no way to tell if your copied trader is online or not, so you'll never know if they're in a coma and won't be back for another 6 months. My suggestion is to either take profit when you think that the conditions are correct or just trust the trader. Nobody can see the future. If you think that you'll rather close the trade before the weekend, it's your choice. If you think upcoming news will destroy the trade, feel free to close early. However, be prepared for regret if it goes up, or a great feeling that you dodged a bullet if it goes down. It's all a part of trading.
1broker's copy system is seriously flawed at the moment. Of course, there's no easy way to fix it. Why would a great trader want to share one of their trades if they're not getting much out of it? This encourages opening multiple positions to maximize copy rewards, which can result in massive losses. Robot is one of the traders exploiting this.
So how can you prevent massive losses? There's really no way. You're putting your trust in random people without an identity, who can easily be a scammer. When it comes to people like Robot, I put 1-2% of my funds because I know that he opens multiple positions. This is why I'm always sticking with 3.14FX, he established himself a long time ago and he knows what he is doing. Somebody who has been on the platform for over 3 years with several losses is preferable to an anonymous newcomer who just registered but appears to be good at trading.
Also, the percentage on 1broker is misleading. You may think "Wow, I'm going to get an 500% of my initial investment if I copy Lumyo!" In reality, you should only be using 5% max of your capital per trade. If you copied him from the beginning (I started copying at around 90%), you should have only gained 25% rather than 500%. But still, 25% of your initial investment is huge.

My opinion on several traders

vits2015: If you watched vits2015 from the beginning, you would know that their style of trading is... off. 15 positions on UK100, all short, some of them at -30% when I first saw him as a successful trader. What does that tell me about him? He can open up to 6 positions on the same trade at once, and is willing to hold them as long as possible to get a profit. (Average holding time 8 days)
gtfann: Even with recent losses, he still appears to be a decent trader. It seems that he upped his usual leverage due to the crowds of traders flocking to copy him though. Multiple positions with a lower leverage isn't really something that I like either, but I'm sticking with him for now until there's a drastic change.
vaiono: He lets his losses play out and even though he has a decent track record,it's still risky to play with. Silver is extremely volatile and due to leverage, a small move in any direction can either be a huge loss or huge gain.
Snortex: Pretty much a meme on 1broker. He acknowledges his trading style and warns his copiers. I like him as a person due to his warnings, but still wouldn't recommend copying him unless you can afford to lose a lot. Edit: After examination of his trades, I feel like he's not only gambling like his description suggests. His entries are planned out carefully (Although that has hurt him when there was a flash crash). You'll take several 80% losses but you may take several 400% gains. He seems to have a habit of chasing a trade, which can lead to multiple 80% losses. However, once the trend reverses, his profits go through the roof. When you're copying, copy for the long term! Of course, feel free to uncopy if you feel that the bottom is still far away.
noIDea: He has had bad stretches in the past, but still makes his way back. I think he's a good trader and even though he opens multiple positions, he's one of the best at setting stop losses so the risk is not as high as others who open multiple trades.
Gold_Gangsta: Name change from Crypto Chris for some reason? Be wary of multiple positions as the USDJPY fiasco shows. Seems to be doing fairly well with gold as of now.
1monk2: Multiple positions fairly often, even says that he's drunk in the description. This is gambling.
knightlife999: The description definitely shows promise. There is no proof to those claims on the site, but I feel it's safe to allocate some of your funds toward copying him with his track record.
HedgeCryFx Risk 5: Decent trader, pays attention to economic calendar as well. The only problem is that he lets losses play out to 80%
boogi: I would be wary about the higher losses, but then again, there's a good track record.
sergiomc: Seems to be decent at trading stocks. With an average holding time of 14 days and leverage of 10, you should be expecting to lose about ~3.92% of your gains to financing, which is not actually that much.
Cool Hand Luke: Low leverage trading. If you were to copy him, I would recommend only using 1% or 2% of your account max per trade if you plan on copying others as well. He's a great trader for slow steady gains, but if you're looking to get rich fast or go broke trying, this is not the guy for you.
eylemc: Quick trades with minimal profit and no losses so far. As of now, it may be too early to judge, but I think that he's somebody that might be worth copying. Edit: Seems to let losses play out to 80%. Be wary.
3.14fx: Back in the game, doing well with stocks and USDJPY recently. High leverage, but usually stops losses within a reasonable range.
SunnyNet: Small gains, huge losses. Be wary as your first copied trade could easily be a -80%.
SatoshiReport: Trading using a neural network, after looking deep into the trade history, I'm not so sure about it. Correct me if I am wrong, but the bot doesn't take into account important news and events. Edit: This bot has too many flaws to continue copying in my opinion. Even with the previous gains, it opens the same position as soon as one closes, negating the 33% stop loss AND forcing a loss due to the spread. The only thing that keeps it out of the negative is the rare 80% gains that you might find once in a while.
CryptoMessiah: The image being shown on his twitter has weird numbers on it (USDJPY at 100-103 in the matter of minutes), I think it's a simulator so it isn't actually "proved". Also, asking people to copy for "free money" is misleading as anything can go wrong in the forex market, there is no guaranteed money. I copied with a minimum 0.001 btc and will update this post if the bot proves to be successful. Edit: Tons of losses trying to get the right direction and then huge wins. I would say it's ok, but you're better off with a human capitalizing on gains. The only advantage to this bot is 24/7 hour trading.
kosanet: His description says it all. Be careful while copying, but don't be discouraged to place an amount you can afford to lose. He seems to have a great history of monitoring losses (positions never get below 20%) but it's still a new profile who clearly states that he's not a pro. May open multiple trades and trading with USDJPY a lot. His scalping strategy means that overnight fees won't be an issue. Edit: Now he's starting to be a little more risky with his trades as more copiers arrive. Be careful, he never reached liquidation at 80% yet but he could at any moment.
google: A bit late to the party, but what can I say? I honestly can't believe he accumulated 190 copiers but he seems to have faded out quickly. Golgo13 is having a fun time on all of his trades
KillerWhale: Extremely high risk with all of those multiple positions. Like google and robot, don't be fooled by performance recently and look through their whole account. People who saw the 220% recently may have missed when he was in -475% a few days ago.
SoontobeWW3: Great trader in my opinion. However, I think emotion plays a role in his trading as every huge loss is often followed by more.
APPoh: Seems to know what he's doing. However, there is a very short trading history and we're never sure. Positions can reach 50% without closing, so it's very possible that he might let losses play out to 80%.
dingo: Not much to say. Good with 1 position at a time, and even with the 80% loss last month, still ended in profit. Be careful as he might sometimes not stop a position and instead wait for it to recover and a 80% loss is huge compared to his gains.
Edit August 12: Will stop adding new traders now. Before copying someone, remember:
  1. Check their trading history, ALL OF IT. You're entrusting them with your money, you should be 100% sure.
  2. Wait until they've established themselves. Sure, you can be frustrated about potentially losing 200% profit, but it sure beats 700% losses.
I already expressed my views on Robot and 3.14FX above. Lumyo is currently inactive.
Last tip: Don't uncopy people if you feel like they can make it back. If you choose to copy someone, you're in it for the long run. Now this may contradict some of my earlier statements, but if you have somebody that you believe in, don't uncopy them after a loss. Eventually, they will make their way back up and after you see their success again, you'll be tempted to copy again. Of course, if you are copying somebody who you have no faith in, feel free to drop them. Cutting your losses short is important to learn in trading.

Describe your Forex journey. A Story for the new and curious.

Hey guys, I have been trading for about a year new, yes I know I am still very new. I have suffered losses and gains.
As a newbie trader, I would love to know your story, for motivational and learning purposes, but mostly curiosity.
Describe your journey, here are a few questions I would love answered:
How did you learn about Forex?
What were you doing before you started trading Forex?
Why were you interested in Forex?
How long before you consider yourself a successful trader? When did you decide to do it full time?
If you could go back in time and give your former self one tip about trading, only one, what would it be?
Anything else you might wanna add that's relevant please do.
Thanks so much for reading and responding. Good Luck in your future trades.

The QASH Token

How the QASH Token by Quoine Stands Out
There are plenty of crypto-currencies out there, and a countless number of new ICOs every month. How does one new to the scene know what to look out for? A standard piece of advice that is heard thrown around the forums and various Telegram chat groups is: "do your due diligence" - but what exactly does that entail?
For the newbie investor, there are several factors which you should look at.
Factor No. 1 Do you think their product will make a difference in the industry they are in?
Firstly, look at the team behind it. Are their credentials solid and are they building a viable product; also, how far along is their working product?
A great ICO to have participated in was the QASH ICO by Quoine. They already have an extraordinary working product - a extremely advanced fiat-crypto exchange with a robust and sophisticated platform (they also have a crypto-crypto exchange) which was given a first of its kind licence by the Japan Financial Services Agency. They are required to follow strict regulatory requirements and hence would instill a certain sense of confidence any investor.
Unfortunately, their oversubscribed ICO is now over but one can still purchase QASH tokens. But be quick, they are already trading at close to double of their listing price at the time of writing and it's likely they will increase in value.
Factor No. 2 Do issued tokens have a purpose?
Many companies are taking to ICOs as a way to raise money. Whilst there is a certain appeal to investors to make quick gains by trying to get in on every other ICO cheaply, the tokens issued will only have lasting holding value if the token is needed to be utilized by a stakeholder in some way or other (besides just being a "share" in the company).
Quoine's QASH tokens will be used as a means for the payment of fees (and payments using the QASH token will be given a discount) for trades made on its exchanges, which make it a valuable commodity in itself. That, in turn, effectively ensures a certain baseline price for the token.
Factor No. 3 Industry Trends
In this regard, one should take stock of current market and industry trends. A perhaps crude example would be choosing to invest in an ICO for a company building an AI project as opposed to a project in an industry for household appliances.
Sure, the market for household appliances in huge, but these are already large markets and are not considered growth industries. The point is to invest in an industry where ones see a significant upwards moving trend that can be capitalized upon.
The QASH token is one such example. The crypto space is growing at an exponential rate and the need for secure and trustable exchanges is all the more present. Quoine's exchanges such as Quoinex and Qryptos are especially well placed to serve this growing industry and adhere to higher than current industry levels of security. Importantly, they are already generating profits.
Factor No. 4 Short or long term investor?
Some people try and trade to make money in the short term. However, unless you are a trading professional, the game of daily trading is stacked against you. The pros (especially in traditional forex and commodities markets) have access to information and elabriate trading tools that will tip the scales against your favour.
If you want to make significant gains in the crypto sphere and are not a sophisticated trader with an inordinate amount of time on your hands, you are going to have hold tokens for the long term. For the reasons described above, QASH is one of these tokens that have all the attributes necessary to make it a token that will (although perhaps slowly) rise in value.

My Recent delivery job ( seasoned vet )

So ive had delivery jobs on and off my whole life ever since high school, ive worked for pretty much every resturant in my local area and have had different compensations from good and bad.
My first one when i was 18 got me to know my area pretty good. 7 resturants later i jus look at a ticket and go, no need for gps. its seccond nature by now. The worst job i had was for a company that let you use their fleet of cars and they paid for gas but thought that ment it was okay to pay you 20 dollars for a 10 hour shift plus your tips.. I made it a year and a half in that one before leaving to enjoy a summer with my savings. My current job has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least. A sushi place opened up in 2014 ( i live in long island ny ) and i became buddy buddy with the owner who is a pretty cool dude. I work from 11-9 with a 1 hour break from 3-4 because all sushi resturants like to close for a hour (chefs break)
i always drove stick so it keeps the job pretty physical, But my boss is so chill that i dont even have to be there in between any deliverys. I live less then 5 minutes from the store so im pretty much a on call driver. When i get a text saying the letter D it means a delivery just came in, if i get a text R that means it just got ready and i need to step on it to dock at the store but im usually there before that, well why you wonder? because to my benefit and my misfortune, i am the only driver. My boss is too cheap to hire more then one driver, this means i am responsible for every single order that comes in throughout the day near or far. we take around a 4.5 mile radius but because i know my hood like the back of my hand i cut threw all the back streets, Avoid lights and get this shit done. i work in a very weathy neighborhood and usually deliver to mansions in the bay area and lots of residential houses, businesses, docters and the like but if i get into a accident, am feeling under the weather or god forbid broke a leg or some shit im fucked. My boss has tried other ppl and they cant pull it off the way i do. I worked for 2 years straight eventually worked some 7 day weeks. I get paid $50 a day house pay and thats suppose to cover my gas and stuff.
Sushi tips are for the most part better then pizza tips. In the past week i got 40 from 1 guy on new years and multiple 20 dollar tips, And 70 bux for delivering to a private jet company at JFK Airport, which was like 9 miles away and i had to sacrifice my break so they could get it done. The worst part about this line of work is you miss out on Life, you litterally live behind the wheel. Im my bosses right hand man and as much as i dont want to let him down, Im not struggling for money or anything. I trade the forex market on the side and invest in crypto currencies and during those 2 years i had a awsome clientel for 420, so i helped out alot of people. It got to the point where i was making more then double what i would make in a day from the sushi alone. One day in october 2016 i overslept and woke up to a bunch of pissed texts from my boss and decided to Quit. My hustle grew and i got to the point where i was banking like 500-1000 profit from that then caught a case when i jus made the wrong turn at the wrong time dec 29 2016. with something not stashed and a cop pulled me over for having a ipad mounted on my dash. I was riding w 2 other people and all 3 of us got arrested. my car is jus mad suspect to begin with, scion coupe, tinted windows, 18 inch rims, loud subs. Im never the type to smoke in my car ever and everything stays vaccume sealed always. 3 Grand to lawyer fees and a few months of draged out court dates but steered clear of probation or jailtime. So i consider myself lucky i guess? After laying low for a few months i burned threw alot of my savings. Although i got into a cool hobby racing drones and building them from scratch while i was on that year off from delivering. I discovered a new passion but its by no means a cheap hobby with plenty of expensive gear and components. In october 2017 i stop by the sushi place for the first time in a year and sit down just to eat, chat and catch up and see how the business was because i left on a bad note, even though i was having the time of my life. He said you ready to start driving again and as we were eating, i seen the chinese guy, my replacement, running in and out of the store and it brought back all the memorys of the job. So i said "yea part time" He only gave me one day a week so i was like whatever because what off the boat asian delivery guy wants to work less then 6 days a week. So i took him up on the offer and the next week the guy quit after working 9 months to take care of his kid or some shit. He was obviously looking for a ticket out and i was it. So now i went from working 1 day back to 5 and its like i never left now. He is forced to close the resturant 1 day a week this winter which he has never done before to save on bills and payroll because the store hasnt been doing as good, probably because his other drivers throughout the year sucked balls and couldnt handle the pressure. Now im stuck in the same trap as a year ago. I had a taste of my dream career but it got snatched from me because im stuck in this loop again. Im not a big pothead but i know alot of them. I havent fliped anything since i got off with a slap on the wrist but i dont know if im going to fall back into that too. I dont really care about the money, its the free time i miss and 50 hours a week in the winter is really sending waves of thoughts threw my head. Snowstorms are just gonna get worse. The main point of my thread is after reading all this, If you are a delivery driver would you think i have it easy as a driver with this one? Would u switch in a heart beat or stay with yours? I make 140-160 a day consistantly but at the expense of no life. Shifting all day 10 hours is taxing and sitting all day in my coupe just pools the fat. I was a avid gym goer now i jus get exhuasted after a days work. It was fun when i was younger but im 26 now and kinda want to get into something that doesnt involve wasting away in traffic all the time. My boss looked out for me when i met him in 2014 and was down and out but 3 years later im kinda ready for the next chapter of my life. I have a gf of 3 years that i met when i first got the job way back, i had 2017 to myself but got sticked with a full schedual now. 2-3 days a week i can handle but if he finds another asian dude they are gonna wanna work like 6-7 days a week and ill be shut out. Any advice or thoughts? Whats the most amount of hours you guys work and how do you not let it break you. i get 7 to 10 dollar tips all around locally.
Sushi orders are cold so time doesnt matter too much in that respect but if its sent with hot food it gets crazy because as the only driver sent with 3-4 deliveries at a time i get to pick the late one and the hood deliverys to far rockaway suck balls. They take 15 minutes to 20 to drive to and almost never get over a 5 dollar tip. Lucky to get 3 out there.. This is just my 2 cents rant from a guy whos not a newbie to this industry by any means. In between deliverys i get free time but not much sometimes its almost not worth it to leave the store but i do have the option.i feel like a on call EMT but for sushi. I kinda dont know where 2018 will take me. if you read all this, thankyou just one drivers story to another man! I

DEMYSTYFYING CRYPTOCURRENCIES, BLOCKCHAIN & ICO IN SIMPLE ENGLISH – REFLECTIONS AND WAY FORWARD FOR 2018

THE HEADLINE: As we reflect upon on 2017, it is probably fair to make a bold statement that it has been a phenomenal leap forward for the trio of Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and the ICO. Here is why: • Bitcoin (the most popular cryptocurrency and once defamed as a ‘hyper-coin’) hit another all-time high passing $8000. Today, Bitcoin is worth about $50 billion and has been accepted under the law and tax frameworks of Canada, Australia, and Japan. • Ethereum network (platform) and its own fuel ( coin) Ether has appreciated more than 2,800% since it was launched in 2015. • Underlying Blockchain technology is no more a hype, it is disrupting every industry through its secure public ledger • ICOs have raked in over 3.6 Billion Dollars, the largest ICO in 2017 has been Filecoin raising over 257 Million Dollars. This is the just beginning of the ICO revolution where IPOs and traditional stock exchanges are going to become a thing in the past.
Let’s admit it. We either have a tribe of people who love the whole concept of decentralized and autonomous Peer to Peer network completely secure and away from the control of the regulators and bureaucrats OR you still belong to the other tribe, you think Cryptocurrencies are dark alleys and ‘good’ people should stay away lurking in these areas. We respect views on either side and we would like to just attempt to demystify few basic practical concepts here that one should know if you are new to this so called “Crypto Tribe”.
EVOLUTION OF CRYPTO AND BITCOIN The first internet currency, known as DigiCash, was created by David Chaum and is said to have its origin from Netherlands. This was arguably the first attempt, but the idea failed and the company went bankrupt in 1998. Keeping up with the trend PayPal ( one of the global leaders in Payments Industry) was next to follow-up and became highly successful, but did not create an actual cryptocurrency. So history was made when the first real cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, was invented by someone went by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 and went online in 2009. There has been several failed attempts to identify this person. This ground breaking and revolutionary makes it possible to take to replace central authorities, government, watchdogs bureaucrats and politicians with the decentralized blockchain, and take power away from Wall Street. Bitcoin has already broken its own records several times since it started. The chart below will obviously blow your mind if you have not tracked Bitcoin recently. In less than 8 years Bitcoin has given over 8000% return. From 0 to 8000 USD per coin. And ofcourse there are talks of the next bubble and market for Bitcoin crashing down anytime. Really? Let’s address them a bit later in this paper.
The legacy of crypto goes back to the days of World War II when cryptographic systems were devised to securely transmit messages between various parties. All has happened is the technology and evolution has progressed since with the advancement of Computer systems and underlying hardware and software. We hence now have a very powerful system on the network for anyone to harness.
WHAT IS BLOCKCHAIN? A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a hash pointer as a link to a previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data. A blockchain can serve as "an open, distributed ledger that can record transactions between two parties efficiently and in a verifiable and permanent way not in citation given. For use as a distributed ledger, a blockchain is typically managed by a peer-to-peer network collectively adhering to a protocol for validating new blocks. Once recorded, the data in any given block cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks, which requires collusion of the network majority. And that is the latest Wikipedia definition for you. However, in layman terms, what is the best way to explain it? Let’s think of a used-car for a purpose of illustration. The new buyer would like to ensure that the car is genuinely owned by the seller, that the car servicing history is fully up to date and any major issues has been picked up transparently in the car service history. In real world that may not be possible always. Let’s take another example. We go to our regular family doctor ( GP). Their computer has full history of our health records from illness, diagnosis, medicines and treatments. If we go to another city, it would be very important that the new doctor has full information as well. Sometimes things do not work that way. And this is where the power of Blockchain comes into play. Blockchain is like a decentralized and distributed computer or electronic database existing on multiple computers at the same time ( but not owned by any big company specifically atall). The database keeps growing continuously as new sets of key information, or ‘blocks’, are added to it. Each block contains a very important information - timestamp and a link to the previous block. These then actually form a chain, everyone in the network gets a copy of the whole database but the database is not managed by any particular body, person or corporation. Entire old block are preserved forever and new blocks are added to the ledger irreversibly, making it next to impossible to manipulate by faking documents, transactions and other information. And yes, hackers know this and they have no interest in this area as they cannot manipulate here. They will most likely to continue to pry on large private businesses and public sector for ransom not Blockchain for a very long time or may be forever! It is also worthwhile mentioning here that since Blockchain runs on a public network, there are concept of ‘mining’ and rewards to the ‘miners’. In simple terms, people are rewarded for allowing their computers to be used for harnessing the ‘processing power’ of Block execution. Every new transaction on a block ofcourse needs to be executed. Now that you have got a bit of history of the whole Cryptocurrency and Block chain technology mumbo-jumbo, you may be thinking what about another term ICO which everyone keeps talking at the Pub and every now and then on various websites and journals. What are ICO really? Let’s get that out of way as possible.
THE DAWN OF INITIAL COIN OFFERING ( aka ICO) You are probably already familiar with the traditional stock market and the concept of Initial Public Offering ( IPO), so we will not go too deep into it. But in a nutshell, until recently businesses have raised money from the public by listing their businesses on the famous stock exchanges. Ofcourse, it is not possible for Mr. John Smith from a little village selling his home made secret strawberry jam globally until he has deep pockets. Neither he can even dream of getting his business listed on a stock exchange to raise cash from public. Hence listing businesses and raising cash has remain the forte of the big and bold with the backing of Venture Capitalist firms, Private Equity firms and the Brokers. And ofcourse there has been the means of the “Angel Investor” who would give cash by taking significant equity stake in a business started by the entrepreneur with their blood and sweat. Then emerged the concept of “Crowd Funding”. Online project funding websites like kickstarter, crowdcube, seedrs emerged. They allowed entrepreneurs to request for funds from the public. But these methods have raised limited funds, grossly regulated by the local authorities and not everyone could raise money from here. So you may ask what IPOs and Crowdfunding has anything to do with Blockchain technology and ICOs? Well what if we say that there are investors out there who believe in the disruptive nature of Blockchain Technology and are also early adopters of cryptocurrency such as bitcoin. Then there is whole liberal aspect of the unregulated market which makes the whole world shift towards a very different perspective. Now an entrepreneur could actually raise money for building their business from very early stages ( sometimes from just a concept level) and accepting the money not in traditional currency ( aka Fiat currency) but Cryptocurrency. And further, each of these new projects could even release their own version or token of an underlying cryptocurrency or digital currency. Now that’s sexy and awesome isn’t it? Well, we are not going to down the route here to inform the readers it is good or bad practice in this paper. We will leave that opinion formation to yourself. Now that you got a high level understanding of ICOs, the next thing you may want to know is that it is pretty straight forward to invest into an ICO ( we will cover more in this paper later). But you need to understand is ICOs just like an IPO are for short duration. Usually they last for few weeks (typically 4 weeks). You get bonus Tokens or the crypto coin to invest early. Once the ICO minimum target is reached ( Softcap) the coins gets listed on the CoinExchange and they start trading. Coinexchange? What are these then? Quite simple, just go back to the analogy between a traditional stock and traditional stock exchange. Very simple concept really. How you buy, sell and do the nitty-gritty just differs. Since there are no brokers or regulators involved here. The whole process is really simple and quick. It may worthwhile sharing a quick snapshot of the ICO market worldwide: It is mind boggling to see that new businesses in really concept stages are raising more money than traditional businesses in just few hours of ICOs getting listed. Obviously this is really bothering lot of people in high ranking posts. We are not here to again debate who is right or wrong here. What we essentially want you to understand is some of these ICOs are really shaping the next wave of revolution.
How many of you believed that a Smart Phone with a so called ‘mobile app’ would be worth billion of dollar? Look at Uber, Alibaba, Airbnb, Facebook. Why no one complains about their valuation? May be because these businesses have backing of very large venture capitalists, Private Equity firms? But who runs these VCs and PE firms? Do you really need 70 Billion Dollars to run a Taxi mobile app? We honestly do not know. But what we know for sure is disruptive technologies and businesses built on top of them always have an edge. And then you combine the technology and handover its power to the people you create a social eco-system that is so strong and powerful that it can override and form its own status. And that is what is happening with the ICOs. People are investing into their trust and belief. Now that’s more powerful than any single bank, government or institution !
If you have followed this paper so far, you should have started to get an idea of what is really going on here about the trio – Blockchain Technology, Cryptocurrencices and ICO. However, I am sure you still have may have zillion questions about how you do certain things. Let us try give you answers to some of the most common questions asked by those who really want to get involved.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Question 1: I am interested in buying and investing into a Cryptocurrency. Should I buy Bitcoin? Answer: Bitcoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrency. We can not advise you anything specific as you need to do your own research. The number of cryptocurrencies available over the internet as of 6 November 2017 was over 1172 and growing. A new cryptocurrency can be created at any time. By market capitalization, Bitcoin is currently (2017-08-19) the largest blockchain network, followed by Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple and Litecoin.
Question 2: I am interested in investing into a ICO that what research and due-diligence I need to do ? Answer: We are glad that you mentioned the two magical words “research” and “due-diligence”. That is the most important golden nugget that we want you to take-away from this paper. Never-ever invest into a ICO unless you have researched it for how long it takes to build a strong opinion. Here is a good article that gives some really good tips. One quick tip from us would be ensure that Team is really strong and they are genuine people. http://mashable.com/2017/10/25/survive-ico/#CDVyGFJOiiqF
Question 3: How do I find out about upcoming ICOs and useful related news and press releases? Answer: There are plenty of websites now that can give you early headsup and keep you well informed. Our favourites are ICOBENCH, COINDESK, ICOALERT.
Question 4: Where can we buy and sell ICO and cryptocurrencies? Answer: If you are newbie, it may be a good idea to ask someone in your close network to guide you. There are lots of information and instructional video available on Youtube and other social media network and blogs. Sometimes too much information leads to confusion. You may also want to look into tutorials and training available at UDEMY.COM. But please steer away from self-proclaimed gurus. Do not buy any quick rich scheme related courses and scams. We have found that for beginners https://www.myetherwallet.com/ or https://parity.io/ are good starting point for Ethereum Blockchain related transactions.
Question 5: When is a good time to invest in Cryptocurrency? Answer: We wish we had the crystal ball to give you the answer. If we had this crystal ball in 2009 ( when Bitcoin started), we would be very rich people right now. But with a bit of research and education, you can master this. You need to make your own decision when is the right time for you.
Question 6: ICO and Cryptocurrency are all hype and dodgy? Answer: We are assuming you are a beginner, you do not know enough about Blockchain technology and how it works, you possibly have not spent enough time learning and tracking about cryptocurrencies. There is also a possibility you have never invested in a cryptocurrency or ICO. Or possibly you invested in a ICO that was a scam. You possibly could be a sophisticated investor in property, traditional shares, gold, forex and much more. But may be you do not want to know any more about Digital currencies or Technology as it is not your “comfort zone”. So the question is how much of homework you have done to assess if this whole concept for you is really interesting or completely ruled out? The decision end of the day is yours.

Cryptocurrencies explained by AionNext

Are You Ready for the Cryptocurrency Revolution?
An ancient Chinese curse goes something like this: “May you live in interesting times.” When it comes to something as fundamental to human interactions as money, the beginning of the 21st century has been interesting indeed, thanks to a little development called cryptocurrency. Emerging in 2009, Bitcoin was the first contestant in the digital cash realm, but others soon followed, and there is no letup in sight. But what exactly is a cryptocurrency and should you even care? The underlying technology that makes cryptocurrency possible is about to explode onto society in an even bigger way than it already has.
The World Before Bitcoin
To understand how intrinsically Bitcoin differs from the traditional money system requires a quick review of how financial systems operated up until now. The paper cash and metal coins in your pocket are precisely regulated by the government and central banks. This is where cryptocurrencies diverge. They are a decentralized alternative money system that is beholden to no higher authority.
As one might surmise, it is digital in nature and involves no physical manifestation, existing only as lines of secure code on a server somewhere. While not accepted broadly by mainstream retailers yet, digital currencies have already found kindred spirits in those who support an anonymous, secure, transparent money system. And when mainstream currency brokers like AionNext decide to offer online trading of cryptocurrencies, can the tipping point to mass approval be far behind?
The First Cryptocurrency
In 2009, either a single person or group of people going by the name Satoshi Nakamota created and released Bitcoin, the world’s first cryptocurrency. The idea of a currency that operates outside official government control has created a sense of unease among many. In the first years following Bitcoin’s release, countries have scrambled to come up with a way to define the legal status of this upstart currency. China banned its banks from using cryptocurrency. Russia hasn’t made them illegal to possess, but you can’t buy anything in that country unless you use the ruble.
As far as the United States is concerned, Bitcoin and its variants are treated as property for tax purposes, which means capital gains are due when you sell them at a higher value than what you paid. Online traders, especially those already familiar with the Forex market, love the idea of trading an asset that shows some of the upward mobility tech stocks demonstrated in the late 1990s. In fact, AionNext has updated their trading platform to incorporate Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.
Behind the Cryptocurrency Curtain
In the years since Bitcoin’s introduction, the number of different cryptocurrencies has grown to around 1,100, most of which operate on similar or derived technology as the original. An interesting feature of Bitcoin and most others is that they have a built-in limit on how much will be allowed to enter the market. In a sense, this creates a similar arrangement to precious metals, of which there is a finite amount. When Bitcoin hits the number that its creator preordained, that’s it. Investors and traders will still be able to swap the existing supply amongst themselves, but there will be no more.
Regardless, for those interested in trading cryptocurrencies, rest assured that this should have no effect on the ability to trade in this digital asset. Obviously, precious metals are still traded on commodity markets around the globe, even though there is a hard limit on how much of each type exists.
How to Trade Cryptocurrency
It didn’t take leading currency brokers like AionNext long to realize that there was something in the idea of a cryptocurrency that would appeal to online traders, so they adjusted their asset offerings accordingly. What shouldn’t be lost among the rush for profits is that the need for a high-quality platform and ultra-secure brokerage hasn’t magically disappeared. You can lose or gain real money trading cryptocurrencies, just as easily as you lose or gain in the Forex or equity markets. The need remains for a disciplined trading plan that doesn’t risk too much of your money on a single trade. Discipline, perhaps even more than any single trading strategy, will be the difference between those who profit and those who don’t. One AionNext innovation newbies might be interested in are the buy and sell signals generated by market-monitoring robots powered by algorithms that allow them to analyze the market faster and more completely than any human could.
The Bottom Line
It’s easy to sometimes dismiss a new technology as a flash-in-the-pan that will be gone with the next development. And though individual cryptocurrencies may come and go, there’s something about the underlying technology innovations that could trigger a seismic change in how our financial systems operate. The blockchain technology that powers Bitcoin is already under scrutiny by several banks that are curious if it could lead to improvements on their own security measures. Others hypothesize that another result will be an entirely new internet, one that is more secure and less susceptible to hacks or outside manipulation. Stay tuned. It’s getting good now.
